Question: Allah swt said, {And when the souls are paired} The Holy Qur’an Surat At-Takwir (81):7. What is intended by the pairing of the souls in this verse?
Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Abundantly Merciful, the Intensely Merciful,
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds
Each soul is paired with darkness or light; it is paired with the allegiance or with the breaking of the pledge and the covenant. And then, {A soul will know what it has brought} (At-Takwir (81):14), whether it brought justice or injustice, whether it brought light with it or darkness, whether it brought the allegiance or the breaking of the pledge and the covenant.
