He is the One Who is a God in the heaven and on Earth

Question 155: Allah swt said, {And He is the One Who is a God in the heaven, and a God in the earth. And He is the Wise, the Knowing.} 1 Why is a differentiation made between the God of the heaven and the God of the earth, whereas Allah swt is the One God of the heaven and the earth?

Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Abundantly Merciful, the Intensely Merciful
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds

This means that absolute divinity is for Allah swt in the heaven and in the earth, which is in opposition to the statement of those who say that absolute divinity for Allah swt is in the heaven whereas absolute divinity in the earth is for Jesus pbuh or the proofs of Allah pbut, similar to what happened at the time of the Imams pbut, as those who claim to return to them and [those who claim to be] affiliated with them pbut said that they [the Imams] are the God of the earth, meaning that they have absolute divinity on the earth.

And they pbut renounced this statement in their narrations pbut. Refer to what Sheik Al-Kulaini narrated in the book of al-Kafi, from Imam al-Sadiq pbuh. 2

2 – Hisham bin al-Hakam said, “Abu Shakir al-Daysani said to me, ‘There is a verse in the Quran which is what we say.’ I asked, ‘What is it?’ He replied, ‘It is: {And He is the One Who is a God in the heaven, and a God in the earth. }’ So I did not know how to respond. During Hajj I mentioned it to Imam Abu Abdullah pbuh, so he said, ‘These are the words of a malicious disbeliever. When you go back ask him what his name is in al-Kufah, he will say so and so. Then ask him what his name is in al-Basrah, he will say and so and so. Then tell him that is the case with our Lord; He is a God in the heaven, a God in the earth, a God in the oceans, a God in the desert, and everywhere a God.’” al-Kafi Vol. 1 page 128.
